With heavy hearts, we announce the sudden passing of Mindy Zimerelli, who left this world on October 11, 2026, at the age of 43. Born on June 8, 1983, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Mindy was a beacon of joy and love to all who knew her. Mindy's life was tragically cut short due to a vehicle accident, the same cause that claimed her beloved husband, Bartholomew, days before. She leaves behind her cherished son, Jackson, and her loving mother, Linda. Mindy's sister, Sammy, will also carry forward the memories of their shared childhood and the bond they held dear. Mindy was predeceased by her father, James, and her maternal and paternal grandparents, who all surely welcomed her with open arms. An avid bicyclist, Mindy shared a passion for cycling with her best friend, Karen. The two embarked on a remarkable journey to conquer the 150-mile Great Allegheny Passage trail from Cumberland, Maryland, to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Just 30 miles shy of completing this adventure, Mindy was called home. In her honor, her family and friends are committed to finishing what she started. Mindy's life was filled with love, particularly for her son Jackson and the anticipated arrival of her unborn son, Luke, whom she was eagerly waiting to welcome in November. Her family finds comfort in knowing that she is now reunited with her husband Bart, in a place of peace. A private ceremony will be held to honor Mindy's life, as per the family's wishes. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mindy's memory to a charity of your choice, reflecting her generous spirit and unwavering compassion for others. Though Mindy's time with us was far too short, she leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and an enduring spirit that will be cherished forever.
