Born on December 8, 1938, in Rock Hill, South Carolina, Milford graced this world for 87 remarkable years, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and unwavering devotion to her family. Milford was a beacon of warmth and kindness, known for her nurturing spirit and her unyielding commitment to those she held dear. Her journey began as the beloved daughter of the late Sylvester and Alberta Jackson. She grew up surrounded by a loving family, and she carried the values instilled in her by her parents throughout her life. Milford was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Otis Madison Baker Sr., her son, Danny Joseph (Eddie) Baker Sr., her great-grandson, Juan Carlos Gutierrez, and several cherished siblings. A loving and dedicated mother, Milford is survived by her daughter, Dinah Irene Baker, and her sons, Otis Madison Baker Jr. and his wife Edna Joe Baker, and Russ Don Baker Sr. Her family was the center of her universe, and her love extended to her 8 grandchildren: Devon Baker, Otis Madison Baker III, Nathen Paul Baker, Danny Joseph Baker Jr. I, Alysa Marie Underwood, Russ Don Baker Jr., Kaitlyn Baker, and Danny Joseph Baker Jr. II. Her legacy is further carried on by her 16 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, and her dear siblings, comprising 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Milford's life was a testament to the power of love and family, and she was affectionately known as "Nana" by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were the light of her life. Her home was a haven of warmth and laughter, where countless memories were created and cherished. A celebration of Milford's life will be held on May 27, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Greene Funeral Home Downtown Chapel, located at 355 E. White St, Rock Hill, SC 29730. Family and friends are invited to gather and share fond memories, beginning with a visitation from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. prior to the service. In a special message from her family, they express, "Nana, we love you with all our heart." Milford's faith and love will continue to guide those she leaves behind, and her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew her. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Milford's memory to a charity close to her heart, ensuring that her legacy of compassion and generosity lives on.
