Mildred "Polly" Gay

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mildred "Polly" Gay on August 10, 2026. Born on January 29, 1934, in Moultrie, Georgia, Polly was the daughter of John and Stella Moore. She was a devoted wife to the late Jack D Gay and predeceased by her five brothers and two sisters. Her family was the center of her world, and she leaves behind her daughters Susan Gay, Pat Taylor (Robert), and Lisa Neuhoff (Rob); her grandchildren, Shawn Smith (Nicole) and Kim Ratcliff (Justin); her great-grandchildren, Jackson Smith, Austin Smith, and Kooper Ratcliff; and three great-great-grandchildren. A brother Jimmy (Jan) and many nieces, nephews and friends. Polly retired from Capital City Bank Group and was a devoted member of the Thomasville Road Baptist Church. Polly sang joyfully in the Young at Heart choir. She loved working in her yard, playing cards with her friends, or spending time with her family. Polly was known for her open heart and the best hugs anyone could receive A service in celebration of life will be held on August 22, 2026, at 1:00 PM at the Thomasville Road Baptist Church, located at 3131 Thomasville Road. Following the service, Polly will be laid to rest in Memory Gardens at 2:30 PM, with a reception to follow at the church, where friends and family are welcome to gather and share memories.
