Mildred Fleming
April 28, 1942 — March 4, 2026
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mildred Fleming, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, who left this world peacefully on March 4, 2026, at the age of 83 in her cherished hometown of Sidney, Montana. Mildred was born on April 28, 1942, to her loving parents, Felip and Amelia Schmitt, who instilled in her the values of kindness, resilience, and grace that she carried throughout her life.
Mildred was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Jerie Lynn Lynch, whose memory she held dear and cherished every day. She is survived by her devoted children, Michael Todd Lynch and Sandra Renee Lynch, who, along with her, created a legacy filled with love and laughter. Mildred was a proud grandmother to five adoring grandchildren and a great-grandmother to nine precious great-grandchildren, who brought joy and light to her life.
Mildred's life was a tapestry woven with vibrant colors and rich textures, much like the rocks she loved to paint. Her artistic spirit found joy in capturing the beauty of nature, from the delicate dance of hummingbirds that graced her mornings to the birdhouses she lovingly painted to welcome them. Her passion for the outdoors was evident in her love for fishing and camping, where she found peace and solace in the embrace of nature's wonders.
A true culinary artist, Mildred's kitchen was a haven of warmth and delicious aromas. Cooking was not just a skill for her; it was a passion that she shared generously with family and friends. Her recipes were more than ingredients and instructions; they were expressions of love, traditions passed down, and new memories created with each shared meal.
Mildred's life was a testament to the power of family, love, and the simple joys that bring us together. Her legacy is one of compassion, creativity, and an unwavering appreciation for the beauty in the world around her. She has left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew her and will be remembered for her gentle spirit and the warmth she brought to every room.
In honoring Mildred's life, we celebrate the love she shared and the memories she leaves behind. While she will be deeply missed, her spirit will continue to guide us, reminding us to cherish each moment, embrace our passions, and find beauty in the everyday.
A memorial service will be held to honor Mildred's remarkable life, with details to be announced. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to a charity of your choice, in memory of Mildred's generous and caring nature.
