Milagros Pastor

July 14, 1965 — March 19, 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Milagros Pastor, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, who left this world on March 19, 2026, at the age of 60. Born on July 14, 1965, in the vibrant city of Lima, Peru, Milagros was a beacon of joy and warmth, whose laughter and love enriched the lives of all who knew her. Milagros was the cherished daughter of Luis Pastor and Marilu Bernaola, who instilled in her the values of kindness and generosity that she carried throughout her life. She was a proud alumna of Colegio Santa Inez in Lima, where she cultivated a lifelong love of learning and an appreciation for the joy of living. Her career took her to San Marcos, Texas, where she dedicated many years of service at Texas State University. Milagros was admired by colleagues and students alike for her unwavering dedication and her ability to make everyone feel welcome and valued. Her presence was a gift to the university community, and her legacy will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her. Milagros was a spirited individual who delighted in the simple pleasures of life, especially dancing. Her love for dance was matched only by her love for sharing laughter, often being the first to light up a room with her infectious humor and a well-timed joke. Her ability to bring joy and ease to those around her was unparalleled, and her kindness knew no bounds. Milagros's greatest pride and joy were her family. She is survived by her devoted daughter, Erika Jimenez, and her four beloved grandchildren, who were a constant source of happiness and pride. She also leaves behind three precious great-grandchildren, who will carry forward her legacy of love and laughter. In this time of reflection and remembrance, the family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate caregivers at hospice and the Legend Funeral Home. Their support and care during Milagros's final days were a testament to the love and kindness she so freely gave throughout her life. Milagros Pastor will be deeply missed, but her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who had the fortune to know her. Her life was a testament to the power of kindness, laughter, and love, and her legacy will continue to inspire for generations to come. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages those who wish to honor Milagros's memory to perform an act of kindness in her name, bringing light into the lives of others as she did for so many.
