June 26, 1995 — May 18, 2026

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Miguel Rokerson Grant-Raines on May 18, 2026. Born on June 26, 1995, in Boston, MA, Miguel was a cherished son, brother, and friend whose vibrant spirit touched many lives. Miguel was the beloved son of John Grant and Nathan Raines, who raised him in a home filled with love and encouragement. He was predeceased by his dear brother, Omar Triana Grant-Raines, and will be forever missed by his surviving brother, Angel Grant-Raines, and his official brother, Rokerson Dubisson, who mourns alongside us. Miguel leaves behind a large, loving extended family and countless friends who will always remember his beautiful smile and open heart. A graduate of Cambridge Rindge and Latin High School, Miguel was known for his creativity and entrepreneurial spirit. He pursued various occupations throughout his life, from working as a barista and landscaper to labor roles, but it was his online clothing business and design work that truly captured his passion. His artistic talents shone through in his love for art, drawing, design, and music, and he was never happier than when sharing these passions with others. Miguel was a devout lover of pets and an avid film enthusiast, often spending hours immersed in the world of cinema. His warm, generous nature and infectious laughter drew people to him, creating friendships that lasted throughout his life. His many friends, including Dallas, Tremaine, Emily, and Cat, were a testament to his kind heart and unwavering loyalty. Miguel's courage and resilience in the face of life's struggles served as an inspiration to all who knew him. A service to honor Miguel's remarkable life will be held on June 6, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the Cambridge Cemetery, located at 76 Coolidge St, Cambridge, MA. Family, friends, and anyone whose life he touched are invited to join in celebrating Miguel's legacy of love and joy. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, an organization close to Miguel's heart. Contributions can be made online at www.stjudes.org. The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to all those who stood by Miguel throughout his life and in his times of need. Your support and love were invaluable to him, and your presence during this difficult time is deeply appreciated. Miguel's absence leaves a void that can never be filled, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved him. May we all find comfort in our memories and the knowledge that he is now reunited with his brother Omar, in peace and love.
