Michelle Shults

Michelle Fredrickson Shults, a cherished wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, left this world peacefully on September 14, 2026, at Saint Mary's Hospital, surrounded by those she held dearest. Born on September 16, 1969, in Santa Monica, California, Michelle grew up in a family that cherished love, laughter, and togetherness, principles she carried forward throughout her life. Michelle was the beloved daughter of Larry Fredrickson and the late Susan Fredrickson. She is survived by her devoted husband, Todd Shults, with whom she shared 23 wonderful years of marriage. Their union, which began on June 21, 2003, was blessed with three beautiful children, Aimee, Lauryn, and Tanner, who were the center of Michelle's universe and her greatest pride. A proud graduate of cosmetology school, Michelle found her calling as a nail technician in Meeker, Colorado. Her work brought her immense joy, not only because she excelled at her craft but also because it allowed her to build lasting friendships with her clients and colleagues. Her warmth and generosity of spirit were evident to all who met her, making the salon a beloved second home. Michelle was a woman of great faith, actively involved in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in various capacities, but her role as the Young Women's leader was particularly dear to her heart. Her devotion extended beyond the church to her children's lives, where she faithfully attended school events and cheered them on at countless sports games. In addition to her professional and spiritual commitments, Michelle found joy in her hobbies. She loved sewing, candle-making, painting, and experimenting with new recipes. Disney held a special place in her heart, and she delighted in watching classic films and planning family trips to Walt Disney World. Michelle's warm hugs, welcoming smile, and unwavering strength made her a beacon of comfort and resilience for her family and friends. She was someone people turned to in times of need, always ready with a listening ear and a kind word. Michelle leaves behind her loving husband, Todd; her treasured children, Aimee, Lauryn, and Tanner; her devoted father, Larry Fredrickson; her brother Chris Fredrickson and sister-in-law Sarah Fredrickson; and her cherished niece, Gwen Fredrickson. Her family, along with numerous friends, will hold Michelle's memory close to their hearts forever. A memorial service to honor Michelle's remarkable life will be held on October 1, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, located at 903 3rd Street, Meeker, CO 81641. Following the service, the family invites everyone to join them for refreshments and a celebration of Michelle's life. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Michelle's memory to a charity of your choice, as a tribute to her generous and compassionate spirit. Michelle's light will continue to shine in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Her legacy of love, strength, and kindness will be remembered and cherished always.
