Michelle left this world peacefully on May 2, 2026, at the age of 55, surrounded by the warmth and love she so generously gave to others throughout her life. Born on July 29, 1970, in Detroit, Michigan, Michelle's journey was marked by kindness, laughter, and an unwavering dedication to her family and friends. Michelle was a vibrant soul who found joy in life's simple pleasures. She was known for her love of word searches and sudoku, often losing herself in these puzzles with the same enthusiasm she applied to solving life's challenges. Michelle also enjoyed watching game shows and playing table board games, activities that she often shared with her loved ones, creating cherished memories and countless moments of happiness. Those who knew Michelle will remember her as a storyteller with a knack for recalling the most vivid and delightful throwback tales. Her ability to remember every birthday to the dot was a testament to her thoughtful nature and the care she took to make everyone feel special and loved. She was a beacon of laughter and joy, a presence that filled every room with warmth and her infectious smile. Michelle's heart was woven deeply into the fabric of her family. She is survived by her loving partner of over 16 years, Ronald, with whom she shared a life filled with joy, happiness, laughter, and playful times. Together, they created a home that was a sanctuary of love and laughter. She was a devoted mother to her daughter Alicia and her son Anthony, whose lives she enriched with her wisdom, compassion, and unwavering support. Michelle also leaves behind the joy of her life, her grandchild, who brought her endless delight. Her home was also shared with her beloved pets, Foxy and Miracle, her two cherished cats, and Hersey, her faithful dog, who were always by her side, providing her with companionship and love. Michelle was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Larry and Eugene Hammons, and her sister Patricia Hammons. Though they are no longer with us, the bonds they shared remain unbroken, and their memories live on in the stories Michelle told and the love she gave. A celebration of Michelle's life will be held on July 25, 2026, at 3:30 PM at Alicia's home, located at 5140 Kimball Ave SE, Kentwood, MI 49508. Family and friends are invited to join in honoring a life so wonderfully lived. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude for the kind words and love shared during this difficult time.
