In Loving Memory of Michelle Bernal
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Michelle Bernal, a beloved daughter, cherished friend, and vibrant spirit, who left this world too soon on December 11, 2025, at the tender age of 26. Born on May 10, 1999, in Puyallup, Washington, Michelle was a beacon of light and love to all who knew her.
Michelle was the adored daughter of Laura Olcegira and the stepdaughter of Jeff Marrs, who together provided a loving and supportive home. Her father, Jeff, predeceased her, but his memory continued to be a guiding force in her life. Michelle's passing, due to a Grand Mal seizure, has left an indelible void in the hearts of her family and all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
A proud graduate of Puyallup High School's Class of 2015, Michelle was known for her artistic flair and compassionate nature. Her artistic talents were a reflection of her inner beauty and creativity, and she found joy in expressing herself through her artwork. Her passion for art was matched only by her love for family and her enthusiasm for life.
Michelle found fulfillment in her work at Trapper's Sushi in Puyallup, where she worked for two years. Her colleagues remember her as a dedicated and cheerful presence, always ready to lend a hand and brighten the day with her infectious smile. Beyond her professional commitments, Michelle cherished time spent with her family and her boyfriend, Michael, whose love and companionship were central to her happiness.
A frequent visitor to the YMCA, Michelle enjoyed staying active and connecting with others in her community. Her warmth and openness made her a friend to many, and she was known for her willingness to engage in conversation and offer help wherever needed. Michelle's kind-hearted nature and gentle spirit touched the lives of everyone she met.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the Graham Fire Department and Good Samaritan Hospital in Puyallup for their efforts and compassion during Michelle's final moments. Their dedication and care provided solace in a time of deep sorrow.
Michelle Bernal's legacy is one of love, kindness, and laughter. Though her time with us was brief, the impact she made will be felt for a lifetime. As we celebrate her life, we remember Michelle for the joy she brought into the world and the beautiful memories she leaves behind.
May she rest in peace, forever cherished and never forgotten.
