Michele Lashbrook mother daughter sister friend
August 18, 1984 — April 30, 2026
It is with heavy hearts and deep love that we announce the passing of Michele Lashbrook, a beloved mother, daughter, sister, and friend. Michele passed away peacefully at her home on April 30, 2026, surrounded by those who cherished her most. Born on August 18, 1984, in Mattoon, Illinois, Michele was a beacon of joy and warmth to all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Michele was the cherished daughter of Lori Nolen and Adrian Wernsing, who survive her, along with her devoted brothers Michael and Jason Wernsing, and her loving sisters Ciera and Tashina Nolen. Michele's life was beautifully enriched by her loving partner of 14 years, Jeff Crowder, with whom she shared countless memories and moments of laughter. Together, they nurtured and adored their two children, Joshua and Mariah, who were the light of Michele’s life.
Michele found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She had a deep affection for frogs and a fondness for the color purple, which brought a vibrant touch to her surroundings. She was a woman who relished a good book, could lose herself in the rhythm of a favorite song, and found peace in the gentle lap of the waves at the beach. Her spirit was playful and her personality, delightfully goofy. Michele had a knack for cracking jokes, bringing smiles and laughter to everyone around her.
Professionally, Michele was dedicated to serving others, first as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and later as a cab driver. Her compassionate nature and commitment to helping those in need were evident in both her career and personal life. Michele’s ability to make others feel comfortable and cared for was a testament to her kind heart and generous spirit.
Her family and friends will forever remember her for the warm hugs she gave so freely and her infectious, big smile that could brighten even the darkest day. Michele's pretty brown eyes were a window to her soul, reflecting the love and warmth she shared with the world.
Michele leaves behind a legacy of love through her nieces and nephews, Jaycee, Piper, Vicky, Vinny, Tristan, Lela, Christian, and Gunner, as well as her dear Aunt Sherri. Each of them carries a piece of her spirit, ensuring that her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched.
As we say goodbye to Michele, we hold onto the special memories and moments she gave us. Her family shares this heartfelt message: "You will be in our hearts forever as we remember your warm hugs and your big smile. Rest your pretty brown eyes, and may you rest in peace."
A celebration of Michele's life will be held in the coming days, where family and friends will gather to honor and remember the incredible woman she was. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Michele's name to a charity of your choice, spreading the love and kindness that Michele embodied throughout her life.
