It is with profound sorrow and a deep sense of loss that we announce the passing of Micheal Landrum, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend to many. Micheal peacefully transitioned to the Will of God on May 8, 2026, at Bryan W. Whitfield Memorial Hospital, at the age of 51. Born in Washington, D.C., on May 21, 1974, Micheal was the cherished son of Arthur Lee and Chattie Thornton Landrum. His family later made their home in Cuba, Alabama, where Micheal's journey of life began and where he would cultivate a legacy of love, faith, and dedication. Micheal was a proud alumnus of Sumter County High School, graduating in the Class of 1993. Throughout his life, he exemplified the values of integrity and kindness, traits that endeared him to all who knew him. Micheal's greatest joy was found in the company of his family and friends, with whom he shared countless moments filled with laughter, love, and warmth. Micheal is survived by his devoted wife, Sharon Landrum, who stood by his side as a pillar of strength throughout their marriage. Together, they nurtured a loving family that includes their children: Adelia Landrum of Washington, D.C.; Michael Landrum Jr. and his wife, Natalie, of Tuscaloosa, AL; and Brianna Hannon, also of Tuscaloosa, AL. Micheal's legacy continues through his five treasured grandchildren: Ari'ella Landrum, A'leri Landrum, Benjamin Hannon, Lima Plunkett, and Aurora Plunkett, all of Tuscaloosa, AL. He is also lovingly remembered by his sister, Forttina Landrum, and his brothers, Arthur and Damion Landrum, all residing in Cuba, AL. Micheal leaves behind an abundance of family and friends who will forever cherish his memory and the impact he made on their lives. Micheal's life was a testament to the power of love and unity. His presence was a beacon of hope and joy, and his departure leaves a void in our hearts that can never be filled. Yet, we find solace in knowing that his spirit lives on in the lives he touched and the memories he created with us all. A graveside service honoring Micheal's life will be held on May 16, 2026, at 3:00 PM at Morning Star Cemetery, located at 4590 Dove Road 2, Cuba, AL. We invite all who knew and loved Micheal to join us in celebrating his remarkable life and bidding him a fond farewell. In this time of great sorrow, we find comfort in the enduring love and faith that Micheal instilled in us. He may have departed from this earthly realm, but his spirit, his laughter, and his love will forever remain in the hearts of those he left behind. May Micheal Landrum rest in eternal peace, embraced by the love of God and surrounded by the heavenly chorus of angels.
