Michael W. Money

With hearts both heavy and grateful, we announce the passing of Michael W. Money, who left this world on April 11, 2026, after a courageous battle with pulmonary fibrosis. Born on June 30, 1962, in Jacksonville, Arkansas, Mike lived a life marked by love, service, and an unwavering faith in God.
Mike was the beloved son of Thomas and Helen Money, the middle child who has lots of energy. He loves going to church from a young age and was happy when the bus ministry from Central Assembly came to their place. This highlights his positive involvement in community activities and his appreciation for faith
On December 7, 1991, Mike married the love of his life Amy, sharing 34 beautiful years with his devoted wife. Their marriage, rooted deeply in their faith, was a testament to God’s presence at the center of their union. Together, they raised their daughter, Tiffanie Joy, whom Mike adored and nurtured with the utmost love and guidance. He was not just a father but a best friend to both his wife and daughter, embodying the very essence of a family man.
Mike was a proud alumnus of Boise State University, where he earned an associate degree in electronics and later pursued a degree in Informational Technology administration. His professional life was a tapestry of dedication and service. He served his country as a member of the United States Navy from 1983 to 1988, followed by two years in the reserves, a period that filled him with immense pride and honor.
In his civilian career, Mike worked with a semiconductor transmitter for falcon birds and extended his expertise to customer service roles at Albertson's office and Peraton, where he was a revered help desk IT specialist for nine years. His colleagues remember him as a loyal, cheerful, and forgiving presence, whose smile could light up even the darkest of days.
Mike was a man of many passions. He was an avid outdoor enthusiast, finding joy in fishing, hiking, and geocaching with his wife. His love for puzzles and Pokémon Go showcased his playful and curious spirit. Beyond his personal interests, Mike was deeply committed to his community, volunteering for ham amateur radio and contributing to local initiatives like Paint the Town and Rake Boise. Mike helped the fire department and the police department using his amateur radio skills
Mike and Amy were missionaries with Youth with A Mission in the Philippines who traveled around the world. They came to visit Idaho and planned to get back. Still, the Lord detoured, stayed, and worked with The Marriage Ministry; volunteered at the Care Ministry at the Discovery Church for a decade; and led them to Calvary Chapel Meridian, where they were part of an H2H group, mission, evangelism, Vacation Bible School, and radio ministry.
Mike is survived by his loving wife Amy and daughter Tiffanie Joy, his siblings Steve and Diana Money, and their families, including Tyler, Brittany, Randy, Lora, Kasey, Kyle, Sherri, Jeff, Nick, and Kailey. His life was enriched by the friendships he formed with Alan and Joy Cukurs, Ken and Twila Eden, Cliff and Joleen, and Atienza. Welsh, Claussen, and Graves families, along with his cherished Calvary Chapel Meridian Family and the Filipino American Family in Idaho.
A funeral service will be held to honor Mike’s life and legacy. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the medical staff at the Veterans Medical Center, University of Utah Medical Center ICU, Serenity Funeral Home, and everyone who supported and celebrated Mike's life.
In remembering Mike, we celebrate a man whose life was a testament to love, faith, and resilience. His generous spirit, cheerful demeanor, and dedication to family and community leave an indelible mark on all who were blessed to know him. Though he is no longer with us, his memory will forever inspire those he leaves behind.
