December 27, 1956 — June 26, 2026

Michael Thomas Riddick, father, charished grandfather, brother, and a friend to many, passed away on June 26, 2026, at the age of 69. Born on December 27, 1956, in Los Angeles, California, Michael was the beloved son of Nathaniel and Eleanor Riddick, who predeceased him, along with his son, Christopher. Michael was a proud graduate of Compton High School. His commitment to serving others led him to join the U.S. Air Force and later the U.S. Army, where he dedicated years of his life in service to his country. Being the child of military parents, his military experience instilled in him a deep sense of discipline. Following his military service, Michael pursued a unique service in assisting people with traffic tickets and dabbling in law to achieve his desired outcomes. Michael had a passion for rebuilding motorcycles and was more than just a hobby; it was a testament to his meticulous nature and his ability to bring new life to things once thought broken. Beyond his life pursuits, Michael was a fierce advocate for the LGBTQ community and a fierce defender of human rights. His unwavering commitment to these causes inspired many and brought hope to those who felt marginalized or voiceless. Michael's quick wit and storytelling ability were legendary among his family and friends. He had a remarkable gift for making stories more vivid, often leaving some of his siblings in awe and sometimes belief in what he was saying, to his chagrin. Despite his playful demeanor, Michael possessed a kind heart and an unyielding concern for the well-being of those he held dear. His love of fishing brought him peace and solitude, while crafting personalized videos allowed him to express his love and appreciation for the special people in his life. These videos remain treasured mementos, a testament to his creativity and thoughtfulness. The Riddick family express their heartfelt appreciation for the outpouring of love and sympathy received during this difficult time. Your words of kindness and support mean more than words can convey and will always be remembered. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice, in honor of Michael's legacy of compassion and advocacy. Michael Thomas Riddick will be deeply missed, but his spirit and the memories shared with him will forever be cherished by all who knew him.
