August 6, 1985 — May 18, 2026

In loving memory of Michael Stanco, whose journey on this earth began on August 6, 1985, in the charming town of Glen Cove, New York, and concluded peacefully at home on May 18, 2026. Michael was a beacon of warmth and kindness, whose gentle spirit touched the lives of all who were fortunate to know him. Michael was the cherished son of Michele and Maria, who instilled in him the values of compassion, integrity, and resilience. He carried these values throughout his life, enriching the lives of his family, friends, and colleagues. He is survived by his devoted brother Angelo and sister-in-law Katrina, his beloved niece Gabriella and nephew Anthony, as well as numerous cousins, friends, and co-workers who held a special place in his heart. A proud graduate of high school in 2003, Michael furthered his education by earning a degree in accounting in 2007. His academic journey was marked by dedication and perseverance, qualities that he carried into his professional life. Michael devoted over a decade of service to the United States Postal Service, where he built lasting relationships and brought a smile to the faces of those he encountered each day. Outside of his professional life, Michael was an active member of the Sons & Daughters of Italy Loggia Glen Cove 1016, where he found a community that shared his passion for preserving and celebrating his cultural heritage. His involvement in this organization was a testament to his commitment to community service and connection. Family was the cornerstone of Michael’s life. His laughter and love were the glue that held gatherings together, creating cherished memories that will forever be etched in the hearts of those he leaves behind. Whether it was a quiet dinner or a lively family reunion, Michael's presence was a gift that brightened the room. A service to honor Michael’s extraordinary life will be held on May 18, 2026, at 4:00 PM at the Dodge Thomas Funeral Home. Family and friends are invited to come together to celebrate the life of a man who gave so much to others with grace and humility. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Loggia Glen Cove 1016 Foundation, a cause close to Michael's heart, ensuring that his spirit of generosity continues to make an impact. Michael Stanco's life was a beautiful tapestry of love, friendship, and dedication. His legacy will continue to inspire and guide those who were fortunate enough to be part of his journey. Rest in peace, dear Michael, knowing that you were deeply loved and will be profoundly missed.
