Michael Sexton, a cherished son, brother, fiancé, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on October 25, 2026, leaving a profound void in the hearts of all who knew him. Born on June 16, 1985, in Owosso, Michigan, Michael was the beloved son of Trina and Stanley Sexton Sr., and the dear brother to Wade, Judi, and Jesse Sexton. Michael's life was marked by his dedication to family, his community, and his work. He was a proud graduate of Gilead Baptist Academy, Baker College, and Michigan State University. His career was a testament to his brilliance and commitment, serving as a program engineer at Tesla since its inception. His contributions to the field were as remarkable as the bonds he formed with colleagues and friends along the way. An active member of Gilead Baptist Church, Michael's faith was an integral part of his life, guiding him with grace and humility. His love for the outdoors was evident in his passion for hunting and fishing, activities he cherished sharing with his brothers and sisters. Known for his level-headedness, Michael was the calm in the storm, offering wisdom and support to those around him. Michael was recently engaged to Jamie Elwood, with whom he was eagerly planning a wedding in January. Their love was a testament to the beautiful future they envisioned together. In addition to his fiancé, Michael leaves behind his devoted parents, Trina and Stanley Sexton Sr.; his siblings, Wade, Judi, and Jesse; and a host of extended family and friends who will forever hold his memory dear. Though predeceased by his daughter Becky, Aunt Sue Hayworth, and Bill Robinson, whom he lovingly referred to as dad, Michael's legacy of kindness and generosity will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him.
