In Loving Memory

Michael Scott Carbaugh II
September 4, 1996 — May 25, 2026
It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Michael Scott Carbaugh II, who left this world too soon on May 25, 2026, at the age of 29. Michael was born on September 4, 1996, in the vibrant city of Las Vegas, Nevada, a place that mirrored his own vivacity and zest for life.
Michael was a beacon of light to all who knew him. Known for his incredible ability to fix just about anything, he was our very own MacGyver, always ready to tackle any mechanical, welding, or carpentry challenge that came his way. His passion for building and fixing things was matched only by his love for music, fishing, and the thrill of riding anything with a motor. If it didn't have a motor, you could be sure he would find a way to add one. His love for his dogs was just another testament to his big, generous heart.
Michael was a person who cared deeply for everyone around him, offering kindness and support to friends, family, and even strangers. He had a remarkable way of making people smile, often giving gifts and quite literally giving the shirt off his back to anyone in need. His ability to figure things out, regardless of the situation, was one of his many endearing qualities. Always a kid at heart, Michael shared a special bond with children; they loved him as much as he loved them.
Michael is survived by his loving mother, Shannon Duke, and stepfather, Justin Duke. He leaves behind his dear brother, Austin Carbaugh, and sister, Hadley Duke. His grandmother, Vicki Bullington, and his cherished nieces, Wrenlee Carbaugh and Wylee Carbaugh, along with his nephew, Wriggen Scott Carbaugh, will forever hold his memory close. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Baylee Sides, and his devoted partner, Secret Royse. Michael was blessed with many friends who became like family, including Daymean Trevino, Grant Hedrick, Daniel Rafferty, Cody, and Caleb Moore.
He is predeceased by his father, Michael Scott Carbaugh, alongside his uncles, Bob and Lee Carbaugh, and his brother, Rowdy Duke, with whom he is undoubtedly reunited, sharing laughter and love in the hereafter.
A service to celebrate Michael's extraordinary life will be held on June 5, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Trinity Fellowship Church. We invite all who knew and loved him to join us in honoring the legacy of a man who touched so many lives with his warmth, humor, and unyielding generosity.
In this time of sorrow, let us remember the joy Michael brought into our lives and strive to carry forward his legacy of kindness and love. Though he may have departed from this earthly plane, the impact of his spirit will continue to resonate in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
