Michael Quartuccio

Michael Quartuccio, a cherished father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully in his home on August 14, 2026. Born on June 23, 1945, in Detroit, Michigan, Michael lived a life full of love, kindness, and dedication, leaving behind a legacy that will be remembered by many. Michael was the beloved son of the late Joseph and Philomina Quartuccio. He was predeceased by his devoted wife, Constance Quartuccio, with whom he shared a deep and loving marriage since December 1964. Together, they built a beautiful life in Westland, Michigan, raising their two sons, Michael (Judy) Quartuccio and Douglas (LesLee) Quartuccio. A graduate of Wayne Memorial High School in May of 1963, Michael went on to have a fulfilling career with the General Motors Cadillac Division, where he worked diligently for 34 years. His commitment to his work was only surpassed by his dedication to his family and community. Michael was an active member of the Assembly of God Churches, reflecting his deep spirituality and kind-hearted nature. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life, particularly in running, biking, woodworking, and sports. A true sports enthusiast, he especially loved baseball and was an avid fan of the Detroit Tigers. He leaves behind a loving family, including his children, seven grandchildren—Eric, Bradley (Alyssa), Tyler (Mary), Hayley (Edward Gilman), Brett, Cameron, and Colin—and his great-granddaughter, Rowyn. Michael is also survived by his sister, Josie (Jim) Schewe, his brother, Larry (Julie) Quartuccio, and many nieces and nephews who adored him. Michael was known for his genuine kindness and spiritual nature, traits that endeared him to all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His generosity, warmth, and unwavering faith made a lasting impact on those around him. A service to celebrate Michael's life will be held on September 11, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the Township Cemetery. In honor of Michael's love for animals, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Roscommon Animal Shelter in Houghton Lake, Michigan. As we remember Michael, let us celebrate a life lived with love, integrity, and faith. He will forever be missed but never forgotten, as his spirit lives on in the hearts of those he touched.
