MICHAEL PAUL GOODALE

Michael Paul Goodale, a devoted father, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 17, 2026, at the age of 69. Born on August 7, 1956, in South Bend, Indiana, Michael was the cherished son of Lois Tinglof and Paul Goodale, both of whom preceded him in death. Michael grew up in a close-knit family and was a proud graduate of Lake Central High School in 1974. Shortly thereafter, he embarked on a distinguished career in the United States Navy, serving his country with honor and dedication for nearly twenty years. His time in the Navy was marked by a steadfast commitment to service and an unwavering sense of duty. After retiring from his military career, Michael pursued a fulfilling career at Carrier Corporation, where he worked diligently until his retirement. Among Michael's greatest joys was his role as a father to his beloved son, Ethan. Together, they shared countless hours as master Lego builders, a hobby that brought them both immense joy and closer together. Michael's creativity and patience were evident in the intricate designs they constructed, showcasing a bond that was both unique and enduring. Michael is survived by his loving son, Ethan, his brothers Ed and Jerry, and his sisters Robin and Rose. He was a source of strength and love for his family, always ready with a warm smile and a helping hand. A memorial service to celebrate Michael's life will be held on August 1, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Flanner Buchanan Washington Park North, located at 2706 Kessler Blvd West Drive. Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Michael are invited to join in honoring his memory. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), an organization that Michael held dear to his heart. Michael Paul Goodale's legacy of service, love, and creativity will be cherished by all who knew him. He leaves behind a lifetime of cherished memories and an indelible mark on the hearts of those he loved. May he rest in peace, forever remembered and deeply missed.
