With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Michael Patrick Lyall, a cherished husband, father, son, brother, and friend, who left this world on June 20, 2026. Michael, aged 56, was born on January 12, 1970, in Cleveland, Ohio, and it is with heavy hearts that we acknowledge his passing after a courageous struggle that now allows him to rest in eternal peace. Michael was the beloved son of Robert and Kathy Lyall, who nurtured his kind spirit and unwavering determination from a young age. He grew up alongside his sister, Tabitha even tho they fought a lot, their bond remained a guiding light in his life. Michael's life was a testament to love, resilience, and dedication. In 1999, Michael married the love of his life, Sara Lyall, in a union that showcased a remarkable journey of companionship and devotion. Together, they welcomed their three sons, Landen, Kayden, and LP Lyall, who, along with Michael's cherished grandchildren, brought immense joy and purpose to his life. Though Landen, Kayden, LP, and his wife Sara predeceased him, their memories continue to live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind. A dedicated employee of the City of Charlotte for over 15 years, Michael's contributions to his community were marked by his professionalism and commitment. His work was not only a career but a testament to his character, as he served with integrity and diligence. Michael's legacy is carried forward by his surviving family members, including his father Robert, and his ever-loving wife Sara. His spirit, strength, and the memories he created will forever be cherished by those who knew him. A service to honor and celebrate Michael's life will be held on June 24, 2026, at 12:00 PM at Thrift Baptist Church, located at 2087 Morres Chappel Rd., Charlotte, NC 28214. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of a man who touched many lives with his warmth and kindness. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has offered their support during this difficult time. "We want to thank everyone for being there for our family," they share, deeply moved by the outpouring of love and compassion. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Michael's memory to a cause close to his heart. As we say goodbye to a remarkable soul, we find solace in the memories and love he left behind, knowing that he now rests in peace alongside those who preceded him.
