It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Michael Parks, a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, who left this world peacefully on July 16, 2026. Born on August 11, 1960, in the vibrant city of Miami, Florida, Michael lived a life full of love, laughter, and dedication. Michael was the cherished son of Ethel and Artis Parks. He shared a special bond with his sisters, Maxine Parks Pollock and Yolanda Parks. His presence will be profoundly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. From a young age, Michael demonstrated a keen sense of adventure and a deep appreciation for the natural world. He loved spending time outdoors, immersing himself in the beauty of wildlife, and relishing the simple joys of life. His infectious laughter and remarkable sense of humor brought joy to family gatherings and warmed the hearts of those around him. Michael's dedication to service was evident in his career and personal life. After graduating from Miami Jackson Senior High School, he attended Florida A&M University, where he further honed his skills and aspirations. Michael then proudly served his country in the United States Navy, a testament to his commitment to protecting and helping others. Following his military service, Michael found his calling as a Surgical Technician at Jackson Memorial Hospital. In this role, he touched countless lives with his compassionate care and professionalism, always striving to make a difference in the lives of his patients and colleagues. Though Michael did not have children of his own, his nurturing spirit and kindness extended to his nieces and nephews, who regarded him as a father figure. He was a guiding light, always ready with a listening ear and wise counsel. In honoring Michael's memory, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in lieu of flowers, as a tribute to his life of service and generosity. As we say goodbye to Michael, let us remember the joy he brought into our lives, his unwavering dedication to his loved ones, and the laughter that will forever echo in our hearts. Rest in peace, dear Michael, knowing you are deeply loved and will never be forgotten.
