He later became a respected member of the Local 696 Sprinkler Fitters, a position he held until his well-earned retirement in 2008. Beyond his professional life, Michael was an avid motorcycle rider. The open road was his sanctuary, a place where he found freedom and exhilaration. Michael's enduring legacy is carried on by his loving partner, Julia d'Ambly, and his cherished children: Michael and Barbara Mastej, Nicole and Robert Durr, and Andrew Mastej. He also leaves behind his stepdaughter, Nicole Medina, and three adored grandchildren who brought immense joy to his life.
