In Loving Memory

Michael Mangino
December 31, 1999 — August 12, 2026
Michael Mangino, born on December 31, 1999, in O'Fallon, Illinois, left this world unexpectedly on August 12, 2026. His sudden departure has left a profound void in the lives of those who knew and loved him. Michael was the beloved son of Big Mike Mangino, who was his guiding light and constant support.
Michael's journey was marked by a spirit of adventure and camaraderie. He was a cherished member of his online community, where he found friendship and joy with "the boys in discord" and his dear friend Tagilla. The bonds he formed there were as genuine as any, providing him with laughter, companionship, and endless discussions about his favorite topics, including sports and strategy games.
An alumnus of O'Fallon Township High School, Michael's curiosity and zest for life led him to a diverse career path. He worked as a DoorDash and Amazon driver, a warehouse worker, and an airport worker, bringing his dedication and work ethic to each role. His time in the Russian Military while immersing himself in the virtual landscapes of Tarkov from 2024 to 2026 showcased his adventurous spirit and love for tactical challenges.
In his leisure time, Michael was passionate about playing Tarkov and MLB The Show. These games provided him with a platform to showcase his remarkable strategic skills, and he thrived in the camaraderie they fostered. His ability to discuss sports with enthusiasm and insight was a testament to his vibrant personality and love for connecting with others.
Tragically, Michael's life was cut short due to a misstep following a DoorDash delivery. It was a moment that changed everything in an instant, leaving his family and friends to mourn the loss of a young man who brought joy and laughter to their lives.
Michael is predeceased by the boys in discord and Tagilla, who remain forever in his heart. He is survived by his extended family in the online community, including the discord boys and Tarkov, who continue to cherish his memory and the moments they shared.
Michael's family wishes to extend their gratitude to the friends who stood by him and to Tagilla for introducing him to the thrill of gaming and friendship. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that contributions be made to a charity of your choice in memory of Michael.
A private funeral ceremony will be held to honor and celebrate Michael's life, where his closest loved ones will gather to remember the joy he brought to their lives. Though he is no longer with us, Michael's spirit will forever be part of the stories, laughter, and love shared by all who knew him.
