Michael Lara

October 25, 2010 — September 13, 2026

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Michael Lara, who departed this world far too soon on September 13, 2026. Born on October 25, 2010, in Lewisville, Texas, Michael's life, though brief, touched the hearts of all who knew him. Michael was the cherished son of Sylvia and Moises Lara, who adored him beyond measure. He was a bright, spirited young man, known for his infectious smile that could light up even the darkest room. Despite the internal struggles he faced, Michael possessed an extraordinary ability to feign happiness, bringing joy to others with his radiant grin and warm presence. A talented guitarist, Michael was passionate about music and dedicated much of his time to mastering his craft. He was a proud member of the band Cemetery Syndrome, where he found solace and expression through his music. Michael invested his allowance in guitar gear, nurturing his love for music and sharing it with those around him. Although his educational journey was cut short, Michael's impact on his community and peers was profound. He had an innate ability to connect with others, offering a listening ear and a kind word to anyone in need. Michael's family is immensely grateful to Madison Barnhardt, whose companionship and support gave Michael the strength to stay with us a little longer. The Lara family extends their deepest gratitude for the love and kindness shown by friends and family during this difficult time. A memorial service to celebrate Michael's life will be held on November 14, 2026, at 10:20 AM at Dalton and Son Funeral Home, located at 1315 Lark Lane, Lewisville, Texas. Michael's friends and loved ones are invited to join us in remembering the joyful and loving spirit he shared with the world. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Michael's honor. This gesture would truly reflect Michael's generous spirit and his desire to make the world a better place. Michael will be deeply missed but forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May his soul find the peace and comfort that eluded him in life, and may we all carry forward the light he brought into our lives.
