Born on October 31, 1945, in Newfield, NJ, Michael was the beloved son of the late Joseph and Margret Pantalione and the youngest brother to his predeceased sibling, Joseph Pantalione. Michael's life was a tapestry of love, service, and community. He is survived by his devoted wife of 56 years, Therese Pantalione (née Barker), whom he met while working at the Landis Movie Theater. Their love story began in Vineland, NJ, where they exchanged vows on December 6, 1969, embarking on a journey that would span more than half a century. Together, they nurtured a family filled with love and warmth, raising their children, Shavaughn Mulherin (Michael) and Michael Pantalione Jr. (Meghan Rabbie), with unwavering support and guidance. A proud alumnus of Vineland High School, Michael graduated in 1963 before serving his country in the US Air Force from 1965 to 1969. His service was marked by dedication and honor, traits that would follow him throughout his life. After his military service, Michael embarked on a diverse career path that allowed him to connect with countless individuals, fostering friendships across various professions. From his days at the Atlantic City Press to his roles at the Daily Journal and NJ Motor Vehicle conducting bus inspections, Michael's work was always driven by his love for people. Even in retirement, he found joy in transporting cars for Toyota in Vineland, cherishing the opportunity to meet and socialize with new friends. Michael was a man of many passions. He loved cars and delighted in attending car shows, sharing his enthusiasm with fellow enthusiasts. Traveling with Therese brought him immense joy, as did tending to his garden and watching his grandchildren thrive in their activities. He leaves behind a legacy of love in his grandchildren: Liam and Hadyn Mulherin, and Michael III and Gavin Pantalione, who were the light of his life. Beyond his family, Michael was deeply committed to his community. He served on the Vineland Zoning Board and dedicated 16 years to the City Council, advocating for progress and unity. His involvement with the Drug Council highlighted his dedication to creating a safer and healthier environment for future generations. Michael's life was a testament to honesty, kindness, and romance. He was a man with the biggest heart, known for his sweet nature and unwavering devotion to his wife. His presence was a gift to all who knew him, and his memory will be cherished by his sisters Joan Fussal, Anna McDonald, and Marguerite Glogua, along with many dear friends. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Michael's life at Christ the Good Shepherd Parish, located at 1655 Magnolia Rd, Vineland, NJ 08361, where a service will be held in his honor.
