Michael Gibson

May 5, 1965 — April 18, 2026

It is with heavy hearts and deep gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the peaceful passing of Michael Gibson on April 18, 2026, at Saint Francis Hospital in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Michael was born on May 5, 1965, in the heartland of Kansas, a place that would nurture his spirit of kindness, dedication, and love throughout his 60 years. Michael was the beloved son of the late Milton and Judith Gibson, who instilled in him the values of integrity, hard work, and compassion. He was also preceded in death by his cherished sister, Winona Corbett. These family ties formed the foundation of Michael's life, and he carried their memories with him in everything he did. Michael was a devoted husband to his loving wife, Tammy. Their partnership was one of deep mutual respect and unwavering support, creating a home filled with laughter and love. Together, they raised three wonderful children: Christopher, Kasandra, and Kandace, who were the pride and joy of his life. Michael's legacy continues to blossom through his 11 adored grandchildren, who will forever remember him as their fun-loving and wise "Grandpa Mike." He is survived by his dear brother, Greg, with whom he shared an unbreakable bond, as well as many nieces and nephews who looked up to him as a mentor and friend. Michael had an extraordinary gift for making those around him feel valued and loved, a testament to the warmth of his character. Throughout his life, Michael was known for his generous spirit and tireless dedication to those he held dear. He was a man of many talents and interests, yet his greatest achievement was the family he nurtured and the friendships he cultivated. His laughter was infectious, his advice always sage, and his love for his family boundless. Michael's passing leaves a void that cannot be filled, but his spirit will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know him. As we gather to celebrate his life, let us remember the many ways he touched our hearts and made the world a better place. A service to honor Michael's remarkable life will be held at a later date, offering family and friends the opportunity to share stories and memories, and to say farewell to a truly exceptional individual. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of choice in Michael's memory, reflecting his lifelong commitment to helping others. Michael will be dearly missed and forever cherished. May his soul rest in eternal peace, and may his memory be a blessing to all who knew him.
