Michael Garza

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Michael Garza, who left us on June 5, 2026, at the age of 60. Born on August 5, 1965, in the vibrant city of San Antonio, Texas, Michael was the beloved son of the late Trinidad M. and Maria C. Garza. Michael was a cherished father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. His legacy lives on through his daughter Nicole Marie Garza, his son Michael Jr. and daughter-in-law Melissa Garza. He took immense joy in his role as a grandfather to his treasured granddaughter, Sri Laredo, and his dear step-grandchildren, Travis and Lillie. Although his marriage to Annie, the mother of his children, ended, they remained united in their love and commitment to their family. Michael's life was enriched by the loving companionship of his siblings: Thelma and her husband Robert Hernandez, Rosemary Juarez, MaryLou and her husband Rudy Carrizales, Trinidad Garza Jr., David and his wife Bobbie Garza, Sandra Gomez, and Johnny and his wife Joann Garza. He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and friends who were touched by his kindness and generosity. A skilled contractor and builder, Michael dedicated many years to his craft, leaving behind not only structures but also the warmth of a home for many families. His meticulous attention to detail and unwavering dedication to his work were expressions of his character and commitment to excellence. Michael found peace and joy in the simple pleasures of life. Whether hunting, fishing, or watching sports, he cherished spending time in the Texas hill country, surrounded by the beauty of nature and the laughter of loved ones. These moments of joy were a testament to his love for the outdoors and the company of those he held dear. His kind heart, humble spirit, and generous nature were gifts to everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. Michael was always ready to lend a helping hand, never hesitating to put others before himself. His sense of humor could light up the darkest of days, bringing laughter and warmth to all around him. His love, compassion, and selflessness have left an indelible mark on the hearts of his family and friends. A celebration of Michael's life will be held on July 18, 2026, at 1:00 PM at the Northwest Hills Christian Church, located at 9560 Potranco Rd., San Antonio, TX 78251. We invite all who knew and loved Michael to join us in honoring his memory and celebrating the remarkable life he led. As we say goodbye to a remarkable man, let us cherish the love and memories he leaves behind. Though he is no longer with us, his spirit will forever guide and comfort those he loved.
