It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Michael F. Sizemore, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, who left this world peacefully on April 19, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on February 10, 1954, in Hamilton, Ohio, Mike's journey was one of unwavering dedication, love, and service. Mike was the son of the late Janet Becker Sizemore and Robert Sizemore. He was preceded in death by his brothers Ronald and Rick Sizemore. His legacy continues with his surviving family: The love of his life of 53 years, Cheryl Statzer Sizemore, who was his rock and constant companion; his daughters, Angela Vega, married to Orlando, and Jillian Estep, married to Doug; and his treasured grandchildren, Anthony Vega, Kory Estep, and Jayden Vega, who were the light of his life. Mike also leaves behind his brother, Robert Sizemore, along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends. On September 21, 1972, Mike and Cheryl exchanged vows, marking the beginning of a lifetime of loyalty and commitment. Together, they built a family rooted in love and laughter, raising their daughters with the utmost care and devotion. Their love story, spanning more than five decades, was an inspiration to all who knew them. Mike proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1975 until his retirement in 1999, achieving the esteemed rank of Senior Master Sergeant E8. His commitment to his nation was matched only by his dedication to his comrades. He was a respected member of both the Amvets 1983 and the Monkeys Mutual Aid Society, where he formed lifelong bonds. An avid golfer, Mike found joy on the greens, achieving the remarkable feat of two holes-in-one at the Air Force Academy Golf Course. His passion for the sport was infectious, and he relished every moment spent on the course with friends. A celebration of Mike's life will be held on May 16, 2026, from 2:00-6:00 PM at Cobblestone Tavern, located in Fairfield, Ohio. Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Mike are invited to join in honoring his journey and the indelible mark he left on all who knew him. Rest in peace, dear Mike. You will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
