September 13, 1967 - June 30, 2026 With heavy hearts and profound respect, we announce the passing of Michael Eugene Jones, a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, who departed this world on June 30, 2026, at the age of 58. Michael left us while in the compassionate care of Select Specialty Hospital in Oklahoma City, surrounded by the enduring love of his family. Born on September 13, 1967, in Hastings, Nebraska, Michael was the cherished son of the late Delmar Dean Garst and Josephine Marie Morrell. He was a steadfast brother to Monty Garst and a loving uncle to Dakota Garst, both of whom predeceased him, along with many dearly loved extended family members. Michael's legacy continues through his surviving siblings: his brother Todd Garst and wife Christal of Purcell, Oklahoma; his sister Amy Wells and husband Randy of Las Vegas, Nevada; and his sister Jamie Langford of Kingfisher, Oklahoma. Michael was a devoted father to his children, Karen, Kayla, Kimberly, and Paula Cave, who, along with his five grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, carry forward his spirit and love. On February 3, 2025, Michael found renewed joy and companionship in marriage to his beloved wife, Farrah Laverne Jones, with whom he shared the final chapters of his life. Throughout his career, Michael's hands were never idle. His work spanned construction, mechanic shops, and a variety of other jobs, each a testament to his unwavering work ethic and determination. He found a spiritual home at Frontline Ministries in Kingfisher, where he attended services for several years and fostered a strong sense of community. Michael's heart was as vast as the open waters he loved to fish. An avid outdoorsman, he found serenity in camping, the sizzle of a grill, and the joy of cooking for loved ones. His kindness knew no bounds, always ready to lend a hand to anyone in need. Michael had an infectious sense of humor and took great pleasure in ensuring those around him wore a smile as bright as his own. In remembering Michael, his family extends their deepest gratitude for the overwhelming support and kindness shown during this difficult time. His life was a tapestry woven with love, laughter, and endless compassion, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew him. Michael Eugene Jones will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all whose lives he touched. His spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved him, reminding us of the joy found in simple pleasures and the importance of kindness in our everyday lives.
