Michael Duane Kidd
June 25, 1963 — June 10, 2026
It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Michael Duane Kidd, a beloved father, brother, uncle, and friend, who left this world on June 10, 2026, at the age of 62. Michael passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family.
Born on June 25, 1963, in the rolling hills of Kentucky, Michael was the cherished son of Doris Jean Kidd Reagan. He was predeceased by his devoted mother, his beloved grandparents, Leonard and Madie (Vanover) Kidd, his brother Tim Kidd, and his dear uncles Jerry (Pud) Kidd and Bob Kidd, as well as his aunt Betty Kidd. Their memory lives on in Michael's heart and spirit.
Michael was a man of many talents and passions, best known for his love of tinkering under the hood. He had an innate ability for problem-solving, often spending countless hours meticulously working on engines, bringing life back to machinery with his gifted hands. He found joy and freedom in jeep riding, exploring the trails and beauty of nature's landscape with the top down and the wind in his hair.
To his family, Michael was a pillar of strength and a constant source of love and support. He is survived by his beloved son, Zane Kidd, who was the light of his life. He is also lovingly remembered by his brother Gary and wife Teresa, his sisters Sandra Trammell and Crystal Taylor with husband Michael, and his aunts Sue Hill, Judy Dykes, and Gayle Kidd. His stepfather, stepbrother Todd Reagan, and stepsister Lisa Richmond also survive him, along with many nieces and nephews who adored their Uncle Michael.
Michael's life was a testament to the power of family, friendship, and perseverance. His legacy is one of kindness, resilience, and a gentle spirit that touched all who knew him.
A service to honor and celebrate Michael's life will be held on June 13, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Angel Cemetery. Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Michael are invited to pay their respects and share in the remembrance of a remarkable life.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Michael's memory to a charity of choice, reflecting his generous nature and the kindness he extended to all.
Michael Duane Kidd will be deeply missed but never forgotten. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. Rest in peace, dear Michael, knowing that you are cherished and celebrated beyond words.
