Michael Douglas Michael

June 3, 1960 — March 14, 2026

It is with heavy hearts and profound love that we announce the peaceful passing of Michael Douglas Michael on March 14, 2026. Born on June 6, 1960, at Nouasseur Air Base in Morocco, Africa, Michael's journey through life was distinguished by unwavering dedication, love, and boundless enthusiasm for adventure. Michael was the cherished son of Doris Lee Michael and Richard Howard Michael, who predeceased him. He is survived by his beloved wife of 36 years, Belinda Jayne Michael, and their four children: Caitlynn Victoria-Davis Michael (Cody Davis), Michaella Lee Michael, Cole Wesley Michael, and Cody Douglas Michael. Though he leaves behind no grandchildren or great-grandchildren, the legacy of his love and values will undoubtedly endure through his family. In 1978, Michael graduated from Boise High School, and shortly thereafter, he heeded the call of duty, enlisting in the United States Air Force in 1979. Over the next 22 years, Michael served his country with honor and distinction, retiring as a Master Sergeant. He was recognized for his exemplary service with three Meritorious Service Medals and four Air Force Commendations. Michael's leadership was most prominently displayed during his tenure at Fairchild Air Force Base, where he inspired those around him with his steadfast commitment and integrity. After retiring from the Air Force in 1999, Michael transitioned to a fulfilling career with Pratt and Whitney as a Test Engineer. He worked diligently until his retirement in 2014, after which he embraced life with the same fervor he had in his professional endeavors. Michael's personal life was a testament to his passion and zest for living. An avid outdoorsman, he found joy and tranquility in the natural world, often spending his days fishing and hunting. His fascination with WWI and WWII history fueled his collection of original Colt firearms. Michael's hands were never idle, as he was always immersed in mechanical projects, driven by an insatiable curiosity and a desire for adventure. Above all, Michael's life was anchored by his love for his family, his country, and God. He embodied the virtues of stewardship, leadership, and character. Michael was known for his humor, charisma, and gentle spirit. He approached every task with a firm belief that it should be done to the best of one's ability, a standard he lived by and inspired in others. His laughter, love, and unwavering pursuit of excellence were the cornerstones of the remarkable marriage he shared with Belinda, a union marked by joy, adventure, and an indomitable spirit. As we remember Michael, we celebrate a life well-lived and the indelible mark he left on all who knew him. His legacy of love, dedication, and integrity will forever resonate in the hearts of his family and friends. A memorial service will be held to honor Michael's life. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to a charity of your choice in Michael's memory. May he rest in peace, his spirit eternally free to roam the great adventures beyond.
