August 23, 1958 — February 28, 2026
With heavy hearts and profound sadness, we announce the passing of Michael D. Jacox, a beloved father, son, brother, and friend, who left this world unexpectedly on February 28, 2026. Born on August 23, 1958, in Glens Falls, New York, Michael, affectionately known as Mike, was a beacon of warmth and kindness to all who knew him.
Mike was the cherished son of Charles and Mary Jacox, and he was deeply loved by his family. Although he is predeceased by his dear mother, Mary, and his sister, Susan Marie, his legacy of love and laughter carries on through his surviving family members. He is lovingly remembered by his children, Christopher Jacox, Tara (Cullen) Fuller, and Timothy Jacox, who were the pride and joy of his life. His father, Charles Jacox, and siblings, Cheryl (Dan) Stewart and Marcia Caldwell, along with many nieces and nephews, will forever hold him in their hearts.
A proud graduate of Glens Falls High School, Class of 1976, Mike embarked on a career that saw him excel in mill operations at General Electric and Decora. His ability to adapt and embrace new challenges eventually led him to become a handyman, earning a reputation as a true jack of all trades. His work ethic and dedication were admired by colleagues and clients alike, and his willingness to lend a hand was widely appreciated within the community.
Mike found joy in the simple pleasures of life, particularly through his love for the great outdoors. He cherished camping trips, boating, and family vacations to York, Maine, and Florida, where laughter and storytelling around the campfire created memories that will be treasured forever. His warm smile and infectious humor brought light to every gathering, and his generous spirit was a testament to his character. Whether helping a friend in need or sharing a joke to lighten the mood, Mike’s presence was a gift to all who knew him.
A celebration of Mike’s life will be held on March 18, 2026, at 3:00 PM at the Baker Funeral Home, located at 11 Lafayette Street, Queensbury, New York. Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Mike are invited to gather to honor and remember a man who gave so much love and joy to the world.
In the words of his family, “To know Mike was to love him.” His legacy will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to share in his journey. As we say goodbye, we hold close the memories of a life well-lived and a man well-loved.
May he rest in peace, surrounded by the beauty and tranquility he found in life.
