In Loving Memory

Michael (Bucky) Ray Fields
February 5, 1975 — August 28, 2026
Michael Ray Fields, lovingly known as "Bucky" to family and friends, left this world peacefully at the age of 51, with his devoted wife by his side. Born on February 5, 1975, in Terre Haute, Indiana, Michael's life was a testament to the joy and fulfillment found in the simple pleasures of the great outdoors.
From an early age, Michael developed a profound appreciation for nature, a passion he pursued throughout his life. An avid hunter and fisherman, he found his greatest happiness under the open sky, surrounded by the serenity of the natural world. Whether it was hunting, fishing, or foraging for mushrooms, Michael's heart was always most at home in the wilderness.
Michael was a man of straightforward honesty, known for his quick wit and playful humor. His friends and family cherished his "wise ass" nature, a quality that brought laughter and light to every gathering. Despite his tough exterior, those who knew him best understood the depth of his kindness and loyalty.
In 2010, Michael married the love of his life, Hollie, in a heartfelt ceremony in Terre Haute. Together, they shared 16 wonderful years of marriage, raising three beautiful children: Colton, Jaedyn, and Bailee. Michael's family was the cornerstone of his life, and his role as a husband and father was one he embraced with unwavering devotion.
He is survived by his beloved wife Hollie and their children, Colton, Jaedyn, and Bailee, who will always cherish the memories they created together. Michael also leaves behind his two sisters, Rita and Leslie, along with several nieces and nephews, and special friends whom he loved like a brother and sister, Robert and Kelly Powell and their children, who held a special place in his heart.
Michael was predeceased by his parents, Larry Fields and Donna Carlisle, whose loving influence shaped the man he became. Their legacy lives on through Michael's deep love for his family and his passion for the outdoors.
Michael "Bucky" Ray Fields will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His laughter, love, and zest for life will continue to inspire those he leaves behind, as they carry forward the cherished memories of a remarkable man who lived life to its fullest.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
