In Loving Memory

Mervin Adderley
October 10, 1958 — October 7, 2026
With loving hearts, we celebrate the life of Mervin Adderley, a beloved Bahamian father, brother, grandfather, family member, and friend. Born in The Bahamas, to the late Mervin Sr and Viola Adderley. Mervin will be remembered for his quiet strength, patient spirit, warm heart, and the deep love he shared with those around him.
Mervin was a gentle and giving man who often showed his love through simple but meaningful acts of kindness. He would give his last dime or the shirt off his back to help someone in need. He did not always need many words to make an impact; his generosity, patience, and steady presence spoke for him.
He also had a special love for food and cooking. Mervin enjoyed preparing meals and sharing good food with the people he loved. Those who knew him understood that when Mervin was cooking, you were encouraged to come hungry—and likely leave with a full plate, a second help-ing, and something to take home.
His grandchildren were truly his pride and joy. He loved them dearly and will continue to live on in the memories, love, and values he shared with each of them.
He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Shartina Dominique Adderley and Mervin Devon Adderley; his sisters, Theresa Adderley Butler, Gwennie Mae Sweeting, Brendalee Adderley, Christine Clarke, Marva Butler, and Claudine Lowery; and his brothers, George Bethel, Omar Ferguson, Marvin Adderley, and Tino Adderley.
He is also lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Na’cle Parks, Jai’mee Parks, Majesty Parks, and Kai Adderley, along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family of Mervin Adderley welcomes donations to a charity, nonprofit, church, or organization of your choosing.
