He met the love of his life, Martha Strength, also of Eight Mile, in the early 1960s. Their love story began with a simple conversation and blossomed into a beautiful marriage that spanned an impressive 70 years. Together, they created a home filled with laughter, love, and the joy of family. Merlin was a proud father to his son, Merlin M. George III, and his daughter, Candace. He embraced his role as a father with enthusiasm and commitment, always encouraging his children to pursue their dreams and supporting them in every endeavor. His legacy of love and resilience lives on in them, a testament to the values he held dear. Throughout his remarkable life, Merlin was known for his unwavering dedication to his community.
