Melvin was born on September 27, 1986, in Houston, Texas, a city that witnessed his first steps, his growth, and his journey through life. As the third oldest among his siblings, he carved out a unique role within his family, characterized by his warm smile, kind heart, and unwavering loyalty. His presence was a comforting constant, a beacon of strength and resilience.
Melvin's life was blessed with a loving family who survives him, including his father, Melvin Terry Sr.; his mother, Yolanda Watson; and his stepmother, Lillie Dobson. His siblings, Benny, Darion, Dacori, Divinity, Dashun Terry, Dangelo Dobson, and Donielle Carson, along with a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins, will forever hold his memory close. Each one bears the indelible marks of his love and wisdom, which he shared generously.
Though his time with us was far too brief, Melvin lived a life rich with love and laughter. A man of integrity, he embraced each day with a spirit of joy and compassion, always eager to lend a helping hand or share a moment of laughter. His kindness was not just a trait but a way of life, influencing all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Melvin's family wishes to thank all who have offered their support and condolences during this difficult time. In respect of his family's wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held, allowing those closest to him to honor his life in an intimate setting.
As we bid farewell to Melvin, we celebrate the beautiful life he lived, the love he shared, and the legacy he leaves behind.
