Melissa Rose

January 6, 1958 — October 12, 2026

Melissa Rose, a beloved mother, daughter, and friend, passed away on October 12, 2026, after a courageous battle with throat cancer. Born on January 6, 1958, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Melissa was the cherished daughter of Sandra and Bobby Rose. Her life was a testament to love, resilience, and the indomitable spirit that she carried with her always. Melissa was a proud graduate of the Withrow University Class of 1976. Her education laid the foundation for a life filled with creativity and a zest for living that was infectious to those around her. Known for her quick wit and warm smile, Melissa had a remarkable ability to make everyone feel welcome and valued. Her kindness and generosity left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew her. Although Melissa lived a single life, she embodied the essence of love and nurturing through her relationship with her son, Brandon. Despite the challenges of Brandon’s battle with hydrocephalus, Melissa’s unwavering dedication and love never faltered. She was a devoted mother whose strength and compassion were boundless. Brandon, alongside his mother's legacy, continues to inspire those around him with his courage and perseverance. Melissa was also a proud grandmother, a role she cherished deeply. Melissa’s life was enriched by her many hobbies and interests. Decorating was her top priority, and she found joy in transforming spaces, particularly Brandon’s room, into warm and inviting places. Melissa had a passion for shopping and was known for her ability to find the perfect piece to complete her vision. Her talent for skating was well known throughout the city, and her graceful moves on the rink brought joy to many. Her departure leaves a void that can never be filled, yet her spirit lives on in the laughter and love she shared with others. A celebration of Melissa’s life will be held at Walker Funeral Home on October 24, 2026, at 9:00 PM, where family and friends will gather to remember the remarkable woman she was. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice, honoring Melissa’s generous nature and her desire to make the world a better place. Melissa will be dearly missed, but her legacy of love and kindness will continue to shine brightly in the lives of those she touched.
