In Loving Memory

Melissa Lyne Liszewski
November 25, 1966 — May 11, 2026
Melissa Lyne Liszewski, born November 25, 1966, in Dorr, Michigan, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2026, after a courageous battle with her illness. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, generosity, and love that will forever be cherished by those who were fortunate enough to know her.
Melissa was the beloved daughter of John and Joan Liszewski, who predeceased her. Her enduring spirit and warmth live on in her surviving family members: her brother, Jason, and his son, Noah, as well as her sister, JoAnn. Melissa's love extended beyond her human family to her cherished feline companions, Kit Kat and Jasper, who brought her immense joy and comfort.
An alumna of both high school and college, Melissa's dedication to learning and self-improvement was evident throughout her life. She first earned an Associate's Degree and, later in life, achieved her Medical Assistant Degree. Her professional journey was marked by her time at Steelcase, but it was her role at Sound Off that truly captured her heart. There, she found not only a career she loved but also opportunities to explore her passion for travel, allowing her to create lasting memories with her friends and colleagues.
Melissa was a beacon of generosity and thoughtfulness, always eager to lend a helping hand or contribute to her favorite charities. Her kindness touched many lives, and her spirit of giving will continue through those she inspired. Her love for travel was not just a hobby but a way to connect with the world and those around her, creating bonds and memories that will be treasured by all who shared in her adventures.
Melissa leaves behind a wide circle of family, including many aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives who will forever hold her in their hearts. Her memory will be celebrated during a service on June 7, 2026, at 12:00 PM, at the Sunnybrook Golf Course - Event Room, located at 624 Port Sheldon, Grandville, MI.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society, an organization close to Melissa's heart.
Melissa's journey may have come to an end, but her legacy of love, kindness, and compassion will continue to light the way for those who follow in her footsteps. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
