Melissa passed away peacefully on October 12, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Born on December 17, 1968, in Borger, Texas, she brought a vibrant light and warmth to everyone she encountered throughout her life. Melissa was the cherished daughter of Thomas and Virginia Stowe. She was preceded in death by her mother, Virginia, but leaves behind a loving family who will forever celebrate her memory. Melissa is survived by her devoted husband, Vernon Jones of Stinnett, and her treasured children, Faith and Thomas Hutson of Stinnett, and Thomas Stowe Jr. and Jessica, also of Stinnett. Her legacy of love and kindness continues through her four adored grandchildren: Cooper, Rayler, Madalynn Hutson, and Mercury, who brought immense joy to her life. Melissa was a dedicated sister to Kimberly Stowe and Thomas William Stowe, and a cherished friend to Candace Hopkins. Her relationships were marked by her innate sweetness, loving nature, and the genuine care she showed to everyone she met. Known for her friendliness and the ever-present smile on her face, Melissa left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew her. Her interests were as vibrant as her personality. Melissa found joy in fishing, spending time on her iPad, creating diamond paintings, shopping, and collecting various items that piqued her interest. These hobbies reflected her zest for life and her appreciation for both the simple and intricate pleasures it offered. The family invites those who knew and loved Melissa to remember the joy she brought into their lives and to keep her spirit alive in their hearts. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice in Melissa's honor, reflecting her generous spirit and her wish to continue helping others even after her passing. Melissa D.
