Melevlyn Lajuan Hogg-Tutt, a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt,cousin,sister, and friend, who left us on June 16, 2026. Born on March 16, 1967, in picturesque Cherokee County, She was a beacon of joy and warmth to all who knew her.
Melevlyn was the beloved daughter of the late Melvin Hogg and Robert Freeny. She was preceded in death by her cherished parents, grandparents, and her brother Ja Tipps, who she has now joined in eternal peace.
Melevlyn's life's work was not just in her career as a caregiver,but also in the loving family she nurtured. She is survived by her devoted children: Juanita Tutt, Amanda Tutt (Ellis Tolbert), and Charleston Tutt. Her legacy is lovingly carried forward by her ten grandchildren: Aniya, Makala, Kamryn, Serenity, Jaden, Bryan, Chase, Eli, Charlee, and Ka'Myah, as well as her great-grandchild, Maziyah.
Melevlyn's siblings, Christine Tipps (Joe), Wayne Handy (Irma), Tyrone Handy(Carmen), and Charles Handy, along with her nephew Caleb Tipps, will forever cherish her memory.
Beyond her professional and families accomplishments, Melevlyn found solace and inspiration in gardening. She had a special way of bringing life and beauty to everything she touched, much like the flowers she tended with love and care.
In celebrating Melevlyn's life, we remember her infectious laughter and the warmth she shared with all. Her spirit will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by all whose lives she touched.
