April 4, 1950 — September 25, 2026

Melba June Cadle Marx, a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully at The Palms Nursing Home in Orange Park, Florida at the age of 76. Born on April 4, 1950, in Richwood, West Virginia, June was the cherished daughter of the late Elder Ernest and Jacquoline Cadle. She was preceded in death by her parents and her infant son, Charles Kevin Swearingen. June's life was marked by her vibrant spirit and infectious laughter. She graduated from Richwood High School in 1968 and went on to further her education in Charleston, where she became a beautician. Her passion for caring for others led her to obtain her CNA license in the state of Florida. June was married twice, first to Charles Swearingen, with whom she shared the joy of raising their children. Later, she married Ronald Marx, who tenderly cared for her until her passing. June leaves behind her sons, Jay Swearingen, Rodney Swearingen (Tiffany), and Jody Swearingen (Barby), along with her dear sisters Karen Taylor (Bob), Vickie Blevins (Joseph), and Connie Cadle. Her legacy of love continues through her eight grandchildren, Olivia (Matt), Danielle, Brandon, Cameron, Kayla, Liam, Layla, and Kinsley, and her five great-grandchildren, Dahlia, Lilliana, Christian, Sophia, and Milo. A woman of varied interests, June was an avid reader who found joy in watching sports and game shows on television. She particularly enjoyed playing Zilch with her family, where her laughter would light up the room. Her outgoing personality and love for her family were the hallmarks of her life, endearing her to all who knew her. A celebration of June's life will be held on October 17, 2026, at the Enon Primitive Baptist Church, located at 1588 Merrill Street, Lester, WV at 12. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the doctors, nurses, social workers, and staff at The Palms Nursing Home for their compassionate care during June's final days. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Gary Sinise Foundation, an organization close to the family’s heart. June's memory will forever be cherished by her family and friends. Her enduring love and joy for life will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.
