Megan Sevigny

August 24, 1989 — May 14, 2026

It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Megan Sevigny, a beloved daughter, sister, mother, and friend, who left us on May 14, 2026, at the age of 36 in Groton, Vermont. Megan was born on August 24, 1989, in Berlin, Vermont, and from her first breath, she brought joy and warmth to those around her. Megan was the cherished daughter of Tim Sevigny of Post Mills and Melissa Sabens from Sharon. Her early years were spent in the close-knit communities of Thetford and Bradford, Vermont, where she attended school and formed lifelong friendships. Her education laid the foundation for a life enriched by curiosity, creativity, and a relentless pursuit of knowledge. While Megan's life was marked by the inevitable adversities we all face, she approached each challenge with a resilient spirit and an open heart. Her generosity and kindness were evident in her relationships, as she often went above and beyond to support her family and friends. Megan was a devoted mother to her four treasured children: Acadia Rollins, Brooklyn Morris, and Parker and Kyle Green. Her love for them knew no bounds, and she dedicated herself to nurturing their dreams and aspirations. Her children were the center of her world, and she found immense joy and pride in their accomplishments. Though her marriage to Scott Green lasted six years, they remained in close contact, ensuring a loving and supportive environment for their boys. Megan's legacy of love and compassion will continue to shine through her children. Megan is survived by her parents, Tim and Melissa, and her older brother, Justin, who resides in North Carolina. Her presence will be deeply missed by her extensive family, including her aunts, uncles, and numerous cousins, who all held a special place in her heart. Megan is predeceased by her paternal grandparents, Leopold and Marcia Sevigny, her maternal grandfather, Gilbert Sabens, and her paternal uncle, Leo Sevigny, Jr. She carried the memory of these beloved family members with her throughout her life, cherishing the lessons and love they imparted. In remembrance of Megan's compassionate spirit, the family invites you to make memorial contributions to NAMI Vermont, an organization close to her heart, at namivt.org/donate. Your support will help honor her legacy by aiding those in need of mental health resources and advocacy. As we say goodbye to Megan, we hold dear the memories of her laughter, her unwavering loyalty, and her boundless love. Though her time with us was far too short, her impact was immeasurable, and she will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew her. A private family service will be held to honor Megan's life and legacy. The family kindly requests privacy during this difficult time as they navigate their profound loss.
