Megan Green
August 24, 1989 — May 15, 2026
It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Megan Sevigny, a beloved daughter, sister, mother, and friend, who left us unexpectedly on May 14, 2026, at the age of 36. Born on August 24, 1989, in Berlin, Vermont, Megan's vibrant spirit and compassionate heart touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Megan was the cherished daughter of Timothy Sevigny of Post Mills, VT, and Melissa Sabens of Sharon, VT. She shared a close bond with her brother, Justin Sevigny, and his wife, Maria, in North Carolina. Her family also included her father’s wife, Patty, and her beloved step-siblings, Wesley and Wyatt Ulman, and Crystal Parshley. Though predeceased by her paternal grandparents, Marcia and Leopold Sevigny, her maternal grandfather, Gilbert Sabens, and her uncle, Leo Sevigny, Jr., Megan's family roots remained a source of strength and inspiration to her throughout her life.
Megan's greatest joy in life was her beloved children: Acadia Rollins, Brooklyn Morris, and Parker and Kyle Green. Her unwavering love and dedication to them will forever be her enduring legacy. A nurturing and selfless mother, Megan's world revolved around her children's happiness and well-being.
She shared a significant part of her life with Scott Green, to whom she was married for six years. Their bond remained strong as they co-parented their sons with love and understanding. Megan also found companionship and love with Henry, with whom she shared the last six years of her life, creating a life filled with shared dreams and quiet moments of happiness.
Educated in the schools of Thetford and Bradford, Vermont, Megan was a lifelong learner who embraced each opportunity to grow and explore. Throughout her career, she wore many hats, working various jobs, each reflecting her adaptability and dedication. Her colleagues remember her as a beacon of positivity and resilience.
Megan's kindness extended beyond her immediate circle, as she was deeply committed to helping others. Her family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made in her name to Nami Vermont, a cause close to her heart, dedicated to mental health awareness and support. Contributions can be made at namivt.org/donate.
Megan's memory will be cherished by her large extended family, including many aunts, uncles, and cousins, all of whom were touched by her warmth and laughter. Her legacy of love, compassion, and kindness will continue to inspire all who knew her.
Though her time with us was far too short, Megan Sevigny's impact on the lives she touched will endure forever. In our hearts, her spirit will live on, a reminder of the beauty of a life lived with love and purpose. As we say goodbye, we hold onto the cherished memories and the light she brought into our lives.
A celebration of Megan's life will be held at a later date, where family and friends can gather to honor her memory and share stories of her remarkable journey. Until then, we keep her in our hearts, forever grateful for the time we had with her.
