It is with profound sadness and enduring love that we announce the passing of Megan Rigg, a beloved daughter, mother, sister, and friend. Megan departed this world on May 30, 2026, at the age of 36, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever remain in our hearts. Born on September 20, 1989, in Jefferson City, Missouri, Megan was the cherished daughter of Rosie and Ed Lusk. She brought an abundance of joy and laughter to their lives and to everyone fortunate enough to know her. Megan was an extraordinary individual, blessed with a quick wit and an upbeat attitude that could brighten even the darkest of days. In her professional life, Megan dedicated her talents to NRMC Hospital, where she made a meaningful difference before choosing to focus her life on the most rewarding role of all—being a stay-at-home mom. Her devotion to her children was unparalleled, as she poured her heart into nurturing them with love, guidance, and creativity. Megan possessed a remarkable talent for crafting, particularly with her beloved Cricut machine. She could transform simple materials into works of art, designing vinyl car stickers that captured the imagination and brought smiles to those who admired her work. Her creativity knew no bounds, and her artistic spirit was a testament to her vibrant and imaginative soul. Though Megan never saw the point in marriage, believing that true love transcends any piece of paper, she lived her life surrounded by love and formed deep, meaningful connections with those around her. Her love for her family was unwavering, and she was a devoted mother to her daughter and son, who were her pride and joy. Megan leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory: her parents, Rosie and Ed Lusk; her beloved daughter and son; her older sister and younger brother; and many nieces and nephews who were deeply touched by her warmth and kindness. Megan's life, though tragically cut short, was a testament to the power of love, creativity, and laughter. Her legacy is one of resilience, humor, and an unwavering spirit that will continue to inspire those who knew her. In keeping with the family's wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held to honor Megan's life and bid her a loving farewell. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you remember Megan through acts of kindness and creativity that reflect the beautiful spirit she embodied. Though Megan's journey has come to an end, her light will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. May she rest in peace, forever remembered and forever missed.
