Mee Vang

December 31, 1972 — June 4, 2026

Mee Vang, a loving wife, devoted mother, cherished grandmother, and treasured friend, passed away peacefully on June 4, 2026, at the age of 53. Born on December 31, 1972, in the beautiful lands of Laos, Mee was a beacon of love and resilience, whose life story intertwined with the lives of so many she held dear. Mee was born to the late Nhia Cheng Vang and Koua Her, whose enduring love and guidance laid the foundation for the compassionate woman she became. Her parents, who predeceased her, now welcome her into eternal peace, but Mee's legacy continues to shine brightly through her family. In 1992, Mee graduated from Edison High School, a milestone that marked the start of many beautiful chapters in her life. That same year, she married her soulmate, Shawn Moua, beginning a journey of love and partnership that spanned over three decades. Together, they built a life filled with warmth, wisdom, and unwavering support. Mee's greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her beloved husband, Shawn, and their eight children: daughters Christine, Sunaly, Keodara, Kristina, and Vanida, and sons Brandon and Ethan. Mee's love extended beyond her immediate family to embrace her half-children Ainne, Justin, and Brianna, whom she cherished deeply. Her son-in-laws, Ben, Alex, and Markus, were not just welcomed into the family but were loved as sons. Mee's heart grew even fuller with the arrival of her seven grandchildren: Henry, Hailey, Alice, Amelia, August, Aunji, and Amythest. As a grandmother, Mee poured endless love, laughter, and life lessons into her grandchildren, creating memories that will be treasured for generations. Mee's life was a testament to kindness, resilience, and the power of family. Her home was a sanctuary of comfort and warmth, where love was abundant, and laughter was a constant. Those who had the privilege of knowing Mee will remember her gentle spirit, her infectious smile, and her unwavering dedication to her loved ones. As we celebrate Mee's life, we remember her not with sadness but with gratitude for the light she brought into our lives. Her legacy is one of love, strength, and the enduring bonds of family. Mee's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her, a testament to a life beautifully lived. A memorial service to honor Mee Vang's life will be held at a later date, where family and friends will gather to celebrate the remarkable woman she was. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Mee’s name to a charity that supports families, reflecting her lifelong commitment to love and care for others.
