MC departed this life peacefully on June 18, 2026, at the age of 68. Born on August 28, 1957, in Noxubee County, he was the beloved son of the late MC Lowery Sr and Dorothy Harris Lowery.
MC was a devoted family man who found immeasurable joy and fulfillment in the bonds he shared with his family and friends. He was predeceased by his loving parents and sister, whose memories he cherished dearly.
Left to honor and celebrate his life is his devoted wife, Geraldine Gordon Lowery, whom he joined in holy matrimony on February 4, 2011. Together, they embraced life’s journey, nurturing a home filled with love and laughter. MC is survived by his four cherished children: Lenora Byrd and Viola Davis of Columbus, MS, and Victor Binion and Marcus Binion of Macon, MS. His love and wisdom live on through his four beloved grandchildren: Dontavious Binion, Keria Davis, Zakiya Warren, and Zayden Warren, all of Columbus, MS, and three great-grandchildren, who will carry his legacy into the future.
He is also survived by his dear sister Ruby Richardson and her husband Johnnie of Columbus, MS, and his special half-siblings, Juanita and Wallace Skinner. MC held a close bond with his brother-in-law, Leeroy Shelton, and adored his special nieces, Shunta Luster and Terrrica Shelton. His extended family includes six stepchildren, numerous grandchildren, and a host of great-grandchildren, uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will all miss his warmth and kindness.
MC attended Noxubee High School, a place where he began forming lifelong friendships and learning the values that would guide him throughout his life. His family and friends remember him as a man of integrity and gentle strength, whose love for his family knew no bounds.
A service to honor MC’s life will be held on July 10, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the Christian Hill M.B. Church, located on HWY 388 E in Macon, MS. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance and celebration of a life well-lived.

In a heartfelt message from his wife, Geraldine, she shares: "To my husband, though you're no longer here with me, your love and presence remain in my heart every day. Not even in death can steal the love I feel for you. You will always be my king. We had some good days and some bad days, but our love kept us strong for 16 years. You will always be in my heart. I love you, baby."
