Max Wimmer

April 16, 2013 — October 1, 2026

In loving memory of Max Wimmer, who left us far too soon on October 1, 2026, at the tender age of 13. Born on April 16, 2013, in the picturesque town of Villach, Austria, Max brought immense joy and warmth into the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. Max was the cherished son of Claire and Christian Wimmer, who adored him deeply. His grandparents and great-grandparents, who predeceased him, undoubtedly welcomed him with open arms in the afterlife. Max's cousin, Onan, with whom he shared countless summer adventures and online gaming sessions, fondly remembers him and wishes him a peaceful journey and a bright new beginning in the life beyond. An enthusiastic student, Max attended Villach Elementary School and later Villach Middle School, where he was in grade 8. Despite his young age, Max's leadership qualities shone brightly as he proudly served as the captain of his school's Model United Nations Club. His passion for learning and his commitment to fostering understanding and cooperation among his peers were truly commendable. Max was also an active member of the Minecraft Lifesteal community from 2024, where he connected with friends and brought his creativity to life in the digital world. Known for his nice attitude and charming smile, Max had a unique ability to light up any room he entered. His kindness and positivity left a lasting impression on everyone he encountered. Although Max's life was tragically cut short due to Terminal 4 Cancer, diagnosed in May 2026, his spirit and determination remained unwavering. His parents, Claire and Christian, lovingly cared for him during his final months, ensuring he was surrounded by love and comfort. To honor Max's memory, his family has chosen a private funeral ceremony. For those who wish to pay tribute, donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project in Jacksonville, FL, a cause that resonates with the family's values. Max's family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time. His cousin, Onan, sends a special message of hope, wishing Max joy and happiness in the afterlife. Max's legacy of kindness, courage, and joy will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. Rest in peace, dear Max.
