October 2, 1945 — October 14, 2026

In loving memory of Max Landall White, who passed away peacefully at his home on October 14, 2026, at the age of 81. Max was born on October 2, 1945, in Oxford, Mississippi, to the late Leroy and Lena Morris White. He was one of nine siblings, all of whom he joins in eternal rest. Max leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication, cherished deeply by his family and friends. He is survived by his devoted wife of 63 years, Dorothy Jean White, who stood by his side through life's many adventures. Together, they built a family filled with warmth and joy. Max's memory will be carried forward by his sons, Michael L White and his wife Cynthia, and Terry L White and his wife April. He was a proud grandfather to four grandchildren: Joshua, Justin, and Brian White, and Ashley W Maranto. His love extended to his six great-grandchildren, who brought him immense joy and pride. A true son of Mississippi, Max spent his life rooted in the land he loved. He began his career as a logger in 1968, working in the pulpwood business in Lafayette County. In the early 1980s, he established his own logging business, a testament to his hard work and dedication. Max was not only a diligent worker but also a revered member of his community. A faithful member of Denmark Baptist Church, his presence was a guiding light to many. Max was an avid outdoorsman, finding peace and excitement in the natural world. As the president of Turkey Creek Hunting Club in Calhoun County for many years, he embraced his passion for turkey and deer hunting. His love for the outdoors was matched only by his love for sharing it with others. Beyond his profession and hobbies, Max was a man who found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He spent countless hours antiquing with Dorothy and tending to his garden, where he grew an abundance of produce that he generously shared with neighbors, embodying the spirit of community and kindness. A service to honor and celebrate Max's life will be held on October 17, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Springdale Cemetery. He will be laid to rest surrounded by the natural beauty he cherished so dearly. Max Landall White's life was a testament to love, hard work, and community. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew him, and he will be dearly missed by all.
