With heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well-lived, we share the passing of Maureen "Mo" or "Reenie" Herr, who peacefully left this world on April 16, 2026, at the age of 69. Born on October 4, 1956, in St. Louis, MO, Maureen graced the lives of everyone she touched with her warmth, compassion, and unwavering dedication to the care of others. Maureen was the beloved daughter of Joan and the late James, who instilled in her an enduring spirit of kindness and a commitment to service. She was the cherished wife of Randy, with whom she shared 21 beautiful years of marriage, filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories. As a devoted mother to her daughters, Amy (Tony) and Kristin (Troy), Maureen found immense joy and pride in watching them grow and thrive. Her nurturing spirit extended to her seven adored grandchildren: McKenna, Elijah, Elsie, Kaden, Lily, Lola, and Lexi. Maureen's legacy of love will forever live on in their hearts and lives. Maureen's career as a nurse spanned over four decades, during which she dedicated herself to the compassionate care of the elderly and those in hospice. Her gentle touch, reassuring presence, and tireless commitment to her patients left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her colleagues and patients affectionately knew her as "Mo" or "Reenie," a testament to the personal connections she fostered throughout her career. Family was the cornerstone of Maureen's life. She was a loving sister to Kathy (Don), Colleen (Steve), and Tim (Tina), and a cherished aunt and great-aunt, bringing joy and laughter to family gatherings and celebrations. Her family and friends will forever remember her as a beacon of love, wisdom, and grace. In addition to her immediate family, Maureen leaves behind her devoted mother, Joan, who was her lifelong confidante and friend. Together, they shared countless moments of joy and comfort, supporting one another through life's many chapters. Although Maureen's physical presence will be deeply missed, her spirit will continue to inspire and guide those she loved. Her unwavering faith and compassion for others will be her enduring legacy. In accordance with her wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held to honor Maureen's life and memory. The family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to a hospice care organization of your choice, in honor of Maureen's lifelong dedication to caring for others. As we say goodbye to Maureen, we are reminded of the profound impact she had on the world. Her legacy is one of love, kindness, and a life dedicated to the service of others. She will be dearly missed and forever cherished by all who knew her.
