Maudine Felder McFarlin

Maudine was the cherished daughter of Rufus and Novella Felder, whose values and love guided her throughout her life. She was united in marriage to Jack McFarlin in 1955, and together they built a loving home, sharing 50 beautiful years of marriage. Their union was blessed with 7 children and a lifetime of treasured memories. A devoted mother, Maudine's heart was immense, embracing her surviving children Brenda Rocha-Heron, Linda Williams-Keith, Patricia McFarlin, Teresa Greene-William, and Pam Neal-Wolf Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her immediate family, as she was the proud grandmother of eight grandchildren and a revered great-grandmother to eleven great-grandchildren. Her family brought her immeasurable joy and were the light of her life. Maudine's professional journey spanned over three decades, beginning as a dedicated domestic worker for five years before she devoted 25 years to the Travis State School and the Austin State School. Her work was a testament to her compassionate nature and her unwavering commitment to serving others. Community and faith were cornerstones of Maudine's life. She was a cherished member of the Promise Land Church, where she worshipped until her health no longer permitted. Her faith was her guiding light, and her church family held a special place in her heart. Maudine's zest for life was evident in her many hobbies. She was an avid player of dominoes and bingo, relished the thrill of casino trips, and was renowned for her keen eye in hunting down a bargain. Above all, Maudine loved to have fun with her family, creating a lifetime of cherished memories. Preceded in death by her beloved husband Jack McFarlin, and sons Frankie and James McFarlin, Maudine's warmth and kindness were felt by everyone she met. Her open arms and open heart were her hallmarks, and her legacy of love and generosity will be carried on by those who knew and loved her. A celebration of Maudine's life will be held on October 3rd, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at ProvidenceFuneral Home 807 Carlos G Parker Blvd NW, Taylor, Texas.
