With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Mattie Madison, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, who peacefully departed this world in her sleep on September 27, 2026. Born on July 27, 1959, in Pensacola, Mattie lived a life full of love, laughter, and devotion to her family. Mattie was the cherished daughter of Clarence Sr. and Ruth Madison, who instilled in her a profound sense of loyalty and compassion. Known for her quick wit and the biggest heart, she touched everyone she met with her warm, loving nature. Her greatest joy in life was taking care of her family, a testament to her selfless spirit and unwavering dedication. Though deeply saddened by her loss, Mattie's legacy lives on in her surviving children—her sons Antonio and Kantrell, and her daughter Tamra—who will continue to honor her memory by emulating her loving qualities and strength. She also leaves behind 13 treasured grandchildren, who brought immense joy and pride to her life. Mattie was predeceased by her six children and numerous nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly and who have undoubtedly welcomed her with open arms. A celebration of Mattie Madison’s life will take place on October 17, 2026, at 12:00 PM at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church, located at 1822 N T St. We invite all who knew and loved her to join us in honoring her life and sharing cherished memories.
